Three days of prayer and expansion in the Yawanawá tradition.
He was last here in 2023. Some of you were in that room, and you remember what that night was. This time he brings his daughter Yawakanah, who at only fourteen has already completed several dietas in the Amazon, and who sings the chants of their lineage. Between them they carry the songs, the prayers, and generations of ancestral wisdom.
Most people who join our gatherings are building something demanding: a business, a body of work, a family, a life that asks a lot of them. What they need is rarely more information. It's the wider view, and the parts of themselves they have not yet brought to it.
This gathering is made to bring that to the surface. You go home knowing what you've been avoiding, and clear about what you're building and who you get to become.
The land will hold you. I'll be with you before, during and after, and together we will make this a powerful and transformative experience.
It is an honour to receive Chief Iskukua back on this land. Let us come ready, so that we can fully receive everything he has to share with us.

A guided preparation, including a dieta, a simple protocol of foods, drinks and habits to set aside beforehand, and a Zoom call where you meet the group and ask anything at all. You arrive ready instead of scrambling.
Friday evening to Sunday afternoon on the land, with two nights of prayer at its centre.
We gather again. A place to share how the process has been, to reconnect, and to hear each other.
After ten years in this work I'll say it plainly: eighty percent of the result comes from the integration.
What usually happens is one of two things. Some people go home, feel extraordinary for a week or even a month, and then find themselves back where they started. A part of them has changed, but their world hasn't, and neither have the people in it. Others find the opposite: everything begins to move at once, and they have no idea how to hold it.
Integration is where that gap closes. What you saw now has to be held by a body that isn't yet built for it, so we build that body together. The point isn't to keep the vision. It's to act from it, lead from it, and live, love and create from that place.
Whether this is your first time or your twentieth, I recommend giving that part your full attention.
Gatherings with him often hold fifty, sixty, sometimes eighty people.
We keep ours to fifteen. Small enough that nobody disappears, and that the guardians know your name and what brought you here by Friday night. Not smaller, because the energy needs enough people to keep moving.
Chief Iskukua Yawanawá is a leader, spiritual guide, cultural ambassador and internationally recognised musician of the Yawanawá people of the Brazilian Amazon. The son of the revered Chief Nixiwaka Yawanawá, he began his spiritual initiation at 22, undertaking the sacred diets and learning directly from Yawanawá elders. At 26 he became the youngest Chief in the history of his people, leading Nova Esperança, the largest Yawanawá village.
His life's work is bringing the Yawanawá language and culture back, so that the younger generations inherit their language, their traditions and their identity. Through his songs, his ceremonies and his travels, he carries the prayers and spiritual memory of his lineage into the world.
At fourteen, Yawakanah already carries the strength and knowledge of her ancestors. She is guided by her father, Chief Iskukua; her grandfather, Chief Nixiwaka; and her mother, Cacica Nawashahu.
She has completed several spiritual diets deep in the Amazon, including a demanding three-month diet that she finished this August. A gifted singer and guitarist, she has given herself to the traditional Yawanawá chants, and carries the spirit of the forest in her voice.
Renata is a third-generation medicine woman from an Afro-Brazilian lineage, carrying forward the traditions passed down from her grandmother, a mãe-de-santo (a spiritual guide and healer), who led a temple in Brazil.
Over the last ten years, studying and working with different Indigenous tribes of Brazil, she has had the honour of holding space for dozens of people wanting to experience this Indigenous work in intimate settings, safely and with integrity. She holds these traditions as a privilege she never takes for granted, and approaches them with the reverence they deserve.
We bring our chef in for the whole weekend to cook every meal, fully organic, prepared for what these three days ask of a body. Light where it needs to be light, grounding where it needs to be grounding, clean throughout. Nothing on your plate working against what you came here to receive.
I have sat in prayer here, and done dietas here alongside Indigenous delegations from different tribes.
Everything on it was made by hand, the fruit of years of devotion from the guardians who tend it. You can feel that devotion the moment you walk in.
And most importantly, it is energetically clean. That is what this work asks for before anything else. For three days, this land will be holding us.
